Abstract

The importance of Iraqi-Turkish relations is highlighted by the overlapping of their dimensions, as Iraq was subject to Ottoman control since the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent entered Baghdad in 1543, and this control continued until the end of the First World War in 1918, and with the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in 1918, then the declaration of the Turkish Republic in 1918. 1923, which adopted secular trends and changed its direction towards Europe instead of the Arab East, until Turkish relations with the countries of the Arab Mashreq reached. Crossroads.

 Therefore, this research deals with the legal, economic and social dimensions of the Turkish intervention in Iraq, as Iraq represents the spatial limits of the research, and the research aims to know the backgrounds of these dimensions in their spatial and temporal dimensions, while aiming to develop a clear picture in front of the decision makers for this intervention, and the researcher used the historical and analytical approach to reach The objectives of the research, and to achieve this, relied on geographical, historical and legal sources, and data on the activities of the agricultural and industrial sectors, and concluded that the economic factor is the most prominent dimension of this intervention, as the Turkish interests in Iraq, especially in the governorates of Nineveh and Kirkuk, constitute the most prominent Turkey's ambitions. in Iraq.
