Geographical Analysis of Unemployment in Karbala Governorate for the Years 1997-2020

Abstract

Unemployment rates have been studied according to unemployed females and males in the research area to clarify the difference and disparity between them and at the level of administrative units for the years 1997-2020 and to investigate the causes of this disparity according to their sizes in the labor market and the size of job opportunities available in the governorate and to shed light on the rates of the unemployed population by gender  Through the descriptive analytical approach supported by statistical methods and the standard degree to analyze and indicate the size and rate of unemployment, the labor force and the unemployed in the research area and the extent of their spatial and temporal variation.  It was also concluded that there are four levels of male and female unemployment for the year 1997: in the districts of Karbala, Ain al-Tamr, al-Hur and al-Haidariya sub-district. There are also four levels of male and female unemployment for the year 2020, distributed over the district of Ain al-Tamr, the Hindiya district, the Western Table sub-district and al-Hur district.
