Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of a computerized training program based on classroom teaching skills in the performance of history teachers.

In order to know the effectiveness of the computerized training program, we have relied on the experimental research method, and on the initial designs of one experimental group with the pre and post tests.

The sample consisted of (15) teachers and one school of (6) teachers, and (9) female teachers of history teachers and teachers in governmental middle schools in the General Directorate of Education in Baghdad Governorate / Al-Karkh First.  The researcher prepared the research tool (observation form).  To observe teachers ’performance of classroom teaching skills in the areas of: (planning, implementation, and evaluation). The research tool (note card) consisted of (77) paragraphs distributed among (16) skills, and the researcher made sure of the validity and reliability of the tool.

The researcher began implementing the training program on Sunday (12/13/2020) until Saturday (12/19/2020), and the training program continued (7) days of training, at a rate of two sessions each day.  In processing the data, the researcher used the following statistical and computational methods: (T-test for two independent samples, Spearman correlation coefficient, Chi square, Pearson, Wilcoxon test for two correlated samples).

The study resulted in the following results:

 - The existence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) in the scores of measuring pre- and post-performance in the level of history teachers ’performance for classroom teaching skills and in favor of post performance.
