Abstract

The current research aims to identify the authentic personality of educational counselors, as well as the significance of differences in the original personality according to the variable (gender, duration of service), and to achieve the objectives of the current research, the two researchers adopted the original personality scale and the authentic personality model for Wood and his colleagues (Wood et al., 2008), and the number of the scale's paragraphs reached (12) items distributed equally on three dimensions (alienation from self, authentic living, acceptance of external influence) for each field (4) items, and the scale was applied to a sample of (400) school counselors. Male-Female), who was randomly selected from the six directorates in Baghdad governorate for the academic year 2020/2021, and the results, showed the following:

1- The educational counselors in Baghdad governorate for the six directorates have the authentic personality trait

2- There are no statistically significant differences in the original personality between males and females and duration of service among counselors.
