The Taif Agreement of 1989 and the Position of the Amal Movement on it

Abstract

The study of contemporary politial movements and parties was of great importance, as they played a major role in the fate of peoples, especially in Lebanon, as they are affected and affected by it positively and neqatively, and given that the Amal movement as the first representative of the Shiite Community in Lebanon ,and one of the active movements in it despite the presence of many other parties that forced the nature of Lebanonś composition to appear, and therefore played amajor role in the political and military events, and most  important of  these events  is the Taif Agreement of 1989, from which signs began to resolve the Lebanese crisis Turning the page of civil war that lasted for fourteen years, the idea of dialogue between the components  of the Lebanese society began and took another direcion towards formulating the Lebanese political life and defining its multi_sectarian identity.
