Abstract

The importance of writing about the former Syrian president, Hosni al-Barazi, lies in the fact that he came from an aristocratic Kurdish family who settled in the Syrian city of Hama from an early age, like many Kurdish families who settled in the cities of the Levant previously. And in light of the above, he was able to be an important player in most stages of contemporary Syrian history, as he was distinguished as an active student in Arab societies that were active before the First World War, and he supported the Arab government in Damascus led by Prince Faisal (1918-1920), hoping that He was a prominent political thinker, and he traveled for what he presented to Paris to complete his studies in the field of law, then he returned to be an important element in succession to the Syrian ministries, in addition to his appointment as deputy and administrative in a number of regions, then Prime Minister in 1942, because of his clear role in drawing The country's policies, and it is noteworthy that the judiciary issued a death sentence against him, after that busy life, he traveled between Beirut and Istanbul until his death in 1975, without returning to Syria, even after the issuance of the pardon.
