Abstract

A Non-thermal Plasma was produced via design dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma system by applying a 15 kV AC voltage between two electrodes and employing a glass plate as a dielectric barrier. The effect of electrode material on the properties of produced DBD plasma was studied; Copper, Aluminium, and Stainless Steel electrodes were used for this purpose. Plasma parameters were calculated by analysis Plasma spectrum measured using optical emission spectroscopy and using Boltzmann plot method. Electron temperature ( ) was found to be (1.398 eV), (1.093 eV) and (1.009 eV) for Copper, Aluminium, and Stainless Steel respectively.

Keywords: DBD Plasma, Non-thermal plasma, Boltzmann plot.
