Abstract

This research deals with the topic (the theory of receiving and the role of the recipient in understanding the literary text), it touched on the origins and roots of the theory of receiving, and the origins and justifications of the aesthetic of receiving, and the concept of theory among western critics, as well as its concept among Arab critics, as well as the definition of the most prominent scholars of theory: (Hans Robert Yaus) and (Folgfanging Ezer), as well as discussed the culture of the recipient and the issue of receiving practically and practically through the technique of internal receiving and misinterpretation or interpretation. Taking the story of "Alhajaj and The Boys of the Night" as a model, he also addressed the issue of blindness or ambiguity and receiving through the technique (blanks), taking from Mahmoud Darwish's poem as a model.
