Abstract

The research deals with the study of ((The Intellectual Vision of Al-Hakim and the Subject of Ibn Radwan Al-Malqi Al-Fassi in his book Al-Shahb Al-Ma’a’a fi Al-Siyasah Al-Nafi’ah)) and he is the only author whose classifications we have obtained.

My choice to study this author was related to the great impact he left in the rest of the late political works on him, as well as taking into account the position of his author in the scientific and cultural aspect, or through his political experiences or practical practices, as he was the chief writer in the Marinid state for a long time.

Hence the importance of choosing the studied topic because it is related to the history of Islamic political thought in the Middle Ages, which is an unstable period in relation to the reality and nature of Islamic rule in Morocco and Andalusia, as most of the sultan’s writings in that period, including the book “The Brilliant Meteors in Beneficial Politics” were a true expression of The reality of that era in most of its texts, or a plan for a better reality through an Islamic sultan state.

After completing the writing of our research and the statement of the intellectual vision of the ruler and the subjects of Ibn Radwan Al-Malaki in his book ((The Brilliant Meteors in the Beneficial Policy)) we came to the following:

1- Ibn Radwan focuses a lot on the subject of the Sultan, as he made it a main focus around which the various titles of his book revolved, because the main purpose of presenting it is only in order to strengthen his opinions about the Sultan.

2- Ibn Radwan looks at the ruling authority as a current reality in his book, the caliph, the king, or the sultan, they are the same designations he has in their release, and in their conflict he has no consideration, as long as the one in charge of the rule performs his duty towards the subjects, preserve the religion, and establish justice if he wants.

3- Ibn Radwan tried to defend the legitimacy of the ruling authority in the Marinid state, by substituting alternative principles such as the law of the king in exchange for guarding the religion, and consolidating the principle of obedience, and warning against the consequences of rebellion against the sultan and the occurrence of sedition and chaos, which can only be described with the blessing of the hereditary tyrannical rule. Which dominated most of the states of Morocco and Andalusia in the Middle Ages

4- In the texts of his book “The Brilliant Meteors,” Ibn Radwan directed many commandments, rulings, and instructions to the Marinid sultan, “Ibrahim Abi Salem,” in which he calls on him to do justice to the subjects, be kind and courteous to them, in order to win them over, and thus achieve a fundamental goal of perpetuating the rule of the sultan..

5- In contrast to this image in which the subjects appeared in the book “The Brilliant Meteors” we find Ibn Radwan urging the subjects to obey the Sultan to prevent commotion and sedition, and as a precaution against any attempt to deviate from his orders and authority, employing some Qur’anic texts and prophetic hadiths for this
