Abstract

 

This study, which is under the title (The Philosophical Perspective of Education in Socrates’ Thought), deals with three main topics: The first topic: It was entitled “A Brief History of Socrates’s Life” and is divided into three demands:
First: “Socrates’ life”, second: “The sources of our knowledge of Socrates.” As for the third requirement: talk about “Socrates’ philosophy”.As for the second topic: it dealt with “Socrates' approach to education” and also into four demands: the first requirement: “Education according to Socrates,” the second requirement: “The Socratic method,” and the third requirement: “His method of teaching.” The fourth requirement: “The horizons and levels of the philosophical lesson from The Socratic Perspective”.As for the third topic: It came under the title “Analytical presentation and criticism of Socrates’ position on education.” This topic came with two demands, which are: First: “His educational views,” and the second requirement: “The characteristics of Socrates’ educational philosophy”.Purpose of the study:This study aims to achieve a set of goals, the most important of which are:
1-Preparing the correct methods that the teacher takes while practicing his profession and facing the problems in the actual situation of the educational community.
2-Employing all that we have received during the course of the university study in particular, or the previous stages in general, whether from a methodological or cognitive point of view, to answer in a good way about this study and its questions, which are a scientific goal with integrated goals.Studies Methodology:
The researcher used the descriptive (analytical) approach and also used another simple approach, which is the critical approach to criticize Socrates's philosophy and find out the pros and cons of his philosophy of education
