Abstract
The study deals with monitoring the air masses associated with the air depressions passing over Iraq using remote sensing techniques collected from the meteorological satellite (Meteosat). Analysis was carried out based on visible and thermal bands. The analysis results researcher can identify the types of masses associated with the air depressions depending on the characteristics Spectroscopy of the Bands waveforms, through the reflectivity and resulting colors in the false-colored composite image by performing the analysis and interpretation of the spectral and radiometric enhanced image, by using different programs suchas ERDAS, GLOBEL MAPPER, ENVI and ArcGIS.
