Abstract
The gray verse is one of the topics that have been associated with lamentation, and is meant by the lament of the soul, which is one of the true lamentations, because it is the poet himself who weeps, representing the summit of human feelings, and our poet (Amr ibn Qamiyya) is the first of his youth cried poets, The poet used his artistic tools in the portrayal of Shib through the use of the image in both its mental and graphic aspects. The poet also employed the woman and the futility to strengthen and enhance the image of the shib and its effect in itself and to serve the wisdom in it.
