Abstract

Research problem: In light of the crowding of information and knowledge and the multiplicity of its sources, it was imperative to pay attention to the outputs of educational institutions in order for the nation to rise to the level of quality in the performance of its members at all levels, and middle school students are the group qualified to complete their studies in the specialization that qualifies them to occupy the scientific, administrative and technical roles and they are the ones who will bear the elevation of the nation And one of the things that must be taken into account with this segment is not to deal with stereotypes with their problems they face because that makes their perception of situations weak, and their dealings with reality inaccurate, so they must be trained and taught how to research clearly and be careful in decision-making to produce knowledge of superior quality. (Qatami and Amr, 2005: p. 23)
Both (Costa and Klick 2003) (The Struggle for Accuracy) explained that when the individual matures in possessing the habit of reason, the struggle for accuracy increases his concern for his work, returns and tests his plans, rejects the lack of weakness in work and seeks opportunities to improve it to reach perfection that the struggle for accuracy It represents quality, and the concept of quality means perfection, but we must distinguish between the struggle for accuracy and a positive mental habit and the obsession of idealism and perfectionism as a negative personality trait that leads to a great effort and a small product. (Costa and Calic 2003: p.5)   Marzano believes that weak mental habits lead to poor learning, regardless of the level of skill and mastery, and in this matter Costa points out that any negligence in the use of habits of mind causes deficiency in the results of the educational process because habits of the mind do not depend on possessing a quantity of information, but rather they depend on How to deal with this information in non-traditional ways, and if this phrase is translated into reality, we find that most of our students memorize the scientific material in its details without understanding or understanding, but only obtaining a degree to cross the stage. (Al-Harthi, 2002: p.16)   Subhi mentioned (2000) that middle school students must be trained and educated on how to make their decisions and express their opinions in an appropriate and civilized manner, especially as they seek independence and establish sound social relations that support their social status and their needs to concern themselves with talking and discussing with others. (Sobhi, 2000: p. 112) O'Leary (1975) pointed out that the student’s inability to learn in a certain way is due to the absence of social skills. In this way, he is self-assured and fails to express his true feelings and emotions and does not defend his legitimate rights. (Hussein, 2012: p.78) In light of the above, the research problem can be identified by the following question: - Is there a correlation (degree) between the struggle for accuracy among middle school students?
