A Geographical Analysis of the Incoming Immigration to Baghdad Governorate2015
Abstract
The present research aims at knowing exploring the reality of the phenomenon of incoming immigration to Baghdad governorate, for instance, it’s direction, the size of its streams, it’s spatial and temporary difference according to environment and gender and on the level of its administrative units, It also aims at knowing the important variables that cause this immigration and the resulted consequences.In order to achieve that, the quantitative style and the descriptive analytical approach have been used. However, the data are tabulated and transferred into percentages, furthermore, maps and graphical figures have been used for its easiness in spatial and temporal converted to percentages as well as maps and graphical for easy comparison depending on the standard degree for the same purpose. In addition to that, the statistical package for Social Sciences (spss) has been used in order to find out the simple coefficient correlation and the multiple-deviation to know the extent of the influence of the independent variables on the dependent variable (internal migration). The formal data of the field study of 2015.However, The research has arrived at a number of results, the most important of them are:1.HeightThe size of the immigrant streams coming from other governorate to Baghdad in 2015, The field study showed that the governorate of Baghdad is attractive to the population when the number of immigrants to it reached (617316).2.al-Anbargovernorate comes in the first order in providing Baghdad with governorate a percentage of(57.5%) , whereas the AL-Mammon district occupied the highest proportion in receiving immigrants (21.5%).3.It is evident that the immigration entered Baghdad was forced toimmigrants since the reason for forced displacement was the most mportant reasons for changing residence came in the highest place (60.3%)
