Abstract

The present research aims at identifying (artistic taste and its relation to creativity among students of fine art institutes, artistic taste and its relation to creativity among students of fine art institutes according to sex variable, and the relationship between artistic taste and creativity among students of fine art institutes). The sample consisted of (200) male and female students distributed equally among the sex variable from the fine arts institutes in Baghdad governorate. The researcher used two tools to achieve the objectives of her research, namely: Adopted the scale of artistic taste and consists of (34) paragraphs, the researcher built the scale of creativity and consists of (34) paragraphs prepared by Debono adapted by (Gorani, 2010). The results showed that there were statistically significant differences in the taste of the sexes in the students of the fine arts institutes. For males (27.36), which is lower than the overall average for females (30.44), that is, females are more sensitive to artistic taste than males. The correlation coefficient was Pearson (0.944), a good correlation value. This means that there is a relationship between artistic taste and creativity, which is a strong positive relationship and statistically significant.
