Spatial analysis of poultry farming in Baghdad governorate

Abstract

Poultry is a basic source of food for humans and an important pillar of national income, whether in Iraq or the study area, with its white meat products and table eggs, which are among the sources of dietary protein to build the human body for the purpose of carrying out its various activities. This study aims to deal with poultry projects in Baghdad governorate and their geographical distribution according to their type and their variation at the level of administrative units represented by the districts and the reasons for that discrepancy, in addition to knowing the factors affecting their distribution through analysis, explanation and description. The study came on two topics, the first of which was the theoretical framework and the statement of food and economic importance. For poultry, I focused on the importance of different poultry products, as the second topic came to the spatial analysis of poultry production and breeding in Baghdad, reinforced by maps and tables, and concluded with a set of conclusions reached by the study with mentioning some recommendations that the researcher sees as a way to advance poultry farming.
