Abstract

The research was conducted in Iraq with a defined goal of the impact of training students / applicants according to the strategy of self-inquiry to develop their thinking methods and the direction of their students towards mathematics. The control group included (41) students / applicants, either a sample of the total (student / applied) students, whose number was (769) , as the experimental group students represented (415) students, while the control group included (354) students.

The thinking style scale and the trend toward mathematics scale were prepared. The two groups of the student / applicant were subjected to the thinking methods scale before starting the training and after training the student / applied in the two groups, they were subjected to the scale of thinking styles after and at the level of training that each group underwent and were tested to choose the best (8) A student / applicant from each group where they were followed up to the intermediate stage in their teaching to their students, and after the completion of the application period, which ranged from (45) days, the students of the (student / applicant) were tested towards them towards mathematics.

Then the data were analyzed statistically and it was observed that the question strategy The subjectivity influenced the student / applied person in terms of their thinking style, and this reflected positively on the students ’attitude towards mathematics compared to the control group, and among the research proposals is the need to adopt a self-questioning strategy within the preparation programs for mathematics teachers in the Faculties of Education and in the Ministry of Education.
