Abstract

The aim of the research: “The current research objective is determined by knowing the effectiveness of the KWHLAQ strategy in the academic achievement of fifth-grade literary students in the subject of history.

Research hypotheses: To achieve the goal of the research, the following null hypothesis was formulated:

"There are no statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between the average grades of students, the experimental group that studies, the subject determined according to the (KWHLAQ) strategy and the students of the control group, who will study the same subject according to the usual method in the academic achievement test. Dimensional. "

Research procedures: “The two researchers used” the experimental design of the research community consisting of fifth-grade literary students, as the two prep schools were intentionally chosen to represent the research sample, and Division (B) was chosen randomly to represent the experimental group and Division (A) to represent the control group. The number of students of the research sample was (47) students, by (24) students for the experimental group, and (23) students for the control group.

"The parity of the two groups was verified through previous information, chronological age, intelligence, grades of the previous year, and academic achievement of parents."

The two researchers built the research tools represented by an achievement test consisting of (45) items of multiple choice type.

The experiment was applied in the first semester, as the actual teaching began on Tuesday (12/8/2020) and the actual teaching ended on Monday (2/15/2021).

Statistical methods: "To obtain the results, the data were processed statistically by using the SPSS program to process the research data."

Search results: The results showed the following:

"The students of the experimental group that were studied according to the strategy of (KWHLAQ) excelled at the expense of the students of the control group (the usual method) in the academic achievement test for their positive impact on increasing the academic achievement of the students. They also helped students to prepare psychologically and stimulate their previous knowledge."

Recommendations: On the basis of that, the researchers presented a number of recommendations, including:

"Training history teachers to use the (KWHLAQ) strategy in teaching by involving them in training courses with this strategy so that they can help students increase their cognitive achievement."

:Suggestions: The researchers also made a number of proposals, including

Conducting a study to investigate the obstacles to implementing the KWHLAQ strategy in teaching history in middle and middle schools.

Conducting a study that measures the extent to which the gender factor interacts with (KWHLAQ) strategy among middle school students.
