Abstract

The poet Sattar Abdullah is one of the poets of the seventies generation, and he is a poet who writes the poem Tafila, and he is not known to write another form of poetry, as other poets did, and the following research is a stylistic study in his poetry, to find out his poetic styles, by reading three poetry collections.

The most prominent of what was found in our study of his poetry stylistically is that we found his poetry tending towards the daily poem, with all that characterizes this poem in terms of reducing the distance between the signifier and the signified, and its approach to the language of daily life, as well as the prevalence of irony, irony and sarcasm in most of his poems, and his departure from metaphors The mysterious poetry, and we found that his poetry tends towards stylistic stability in most of his poetry collections, so his poetry falls within the circle of sensual-abstract poetry.
