Constructing A Proposed Program According to the Method of Brief Counseling Centered on Solution in Developing the Cognitive Self of the Educational Counselors

Abstract

The current research aims at identifying the cognitive self of the educational counselors, as well as identifying the construction and planning of the proposed counseling program according to the solution-centered, brief treatment method.

The research community consists of male and female counselors from the six general directorates of education in Baghdad governorate (Rusafa 1, Rusafa 2, Rusafa 3, Al-Karkh 1, Al-Karkh 2, and Al-Karkh 3). Their number is (2031) male and female counselors, and the current research sample is limited to the second Rusafa Education Administrators, where their number is (345) educational counselors. The cognitive self scale is administered to a sample of (300) counselors. However, after using the statistical means according to the SPSS statistical package and processing the data, a number of recommendations and suggestions are arrived at, including the need to pay attention to the cognitive self and develop it through the application of counseling programs and conduct studies on the effect of the abbreviated treatment method Centered around the solution to reduce psychological weakness of educational counselors.
