Abstract

After the end of the lran -lrag war in 1988, and lrag accused Kuwait of investing in large oil wells, and its agreement with the United Arab Emirates to increase its oil Production and flood the global market With oil, especially after lrag exited its war with lran, burdened with debts and burdened economically, lrag considered this an economic War against it, in addition to lrags claim to Kuwait that An integral part of larg.  

The Research dealt with Syria's Position on the large invasion of Kuwait in 1990-1991, as Syria was one of the Arab countries most regecting the invasion. On the political level , President Hafez al- Assad sought to expel lrag from Kuwaiti lands since the first moments of the invasion, and he practiced all peaceful and diplomatic solutions .For this reason, after lrag refused to comply With United Nations resolutions that condemned the invasion and demanded an immediate and unconditional Withdrawal, forces to implement the resolutions of the United  Nations Council.

 This research came to shed light on Syria's official position in that crisis in order to maintain Arab balance.
