The Level of Awareness of Meditation Among University Students and its Relationship to Some Variables

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the contemplative perception of university students, and for the purpose of verifying this, the researcher translated the Tamil Perception Scale prepared by McDowell (2000) and consisting of (22) paragraphs in its final form, and after verifying the psychometric properties of the two research tools according to the research sample of (400) Male and female students from the university are randomly selected stratified.

The results showed that the sample members have an integrative awareness, which in turn strengthened the organization of knowledge by processing the information that the student received from his knowledge environment, and this is due to the students ’interest in information that is consistent with their cognitive needs in the educational situation for the purpose of processing it and benefiting from it, and based on the results of the current research.
