Abstract

With the advent of the digital revolution and the invention of modern technology, evolution is taking place in all branches of science. It is noteworthy that what is known as the digital revolution itself is a product of new scientific thinking that has established new values in the field of education and scientific research

The modernization was a gradual feature, because of its close association with modern technology, that is, the development of the telecommunications sector at first, and with the invention of radio and television, the ability to offer more educational choices was beyond what was available in traditional education 

It must be emphasized that distance education and open education, which are overlapping types of education, are very specific to meet certain needs, which traditional educational methods have not been able to meet, although traditional educational institutions have sought to develop them and introduce modern technology and communication.

mation technology has worked to remove geographical and political barriers and brought distance between peoples, and the competitiveness  of countries has become dependent on their capabilities

in fields of science, technology, research and development and then the ability of their economic units to transfer the results of scientific research to marketable products, as well as researchers in developing countries need to see the latest findings of science and knowledge of   research, results in their fields of specialization, by contacting their counterparts in the world, that is what the internet has provided them, in addition to many other scientific advantages and multiple benefits.
