This study aimed to identify the reality of practical education in the Faculty of Basic Education University of Duhok from the point of view of university teachers and principals of schools and ways to develop the practical education . In order to achieve the objectives of the research, two questionnaires were prepared for measuring this. The researcher used the percentages and Fisher formula as statistical means for analyzing the results of current study. The conclusion found that The training period for practical education in the school is very short , Lack of coordination between the college and the school ,the visits by supervisors are very few , Do not prepare the student teacher before starting the application process ,the absence of study materials of the student's teacher specialization. In light of these results The researcher recommended a number of recommendations: Make the application period longer and the need for a coordination committee between the college and the school to follow the application process
